Wer steckt hinter Wheel2Wall?
Die Ausstellung wird organisiert von Knorke. Den Skateboardunterricht gibt Dominiño gemeinsam mit der Tropical Skate School. Dominiño ist das Hilfswerk des Vereins SuTra in der Dominikanischen Republik. Boards without Borders unterstützt Skateboardprojekte weltweit. Dazu kommen noch viele nette Sponsoren, Helfer und eine Menge Künstler.
Warum ein Skatepark in der Dominikanischen Republik?
Es hat einfach gut gepasst. Die ganzen Akteure wie Dominiño, die Tropical Skate School, Knorke und Boards without Borders kannten sich bereits durch unterschiedliche Projekte.
Bekommen die Künstler Geld dafür?
Nein, alle Künstler machen das ehrenamtlich.
Kann ich auch noch ein bemaltes Board einreichen?
Nein, nicht für Wheel2Wall. Für andere Aktionen kannst du dich gerne an unsere Freunde von Boards without Borders wenden.
Was passiert mit den Einnahmen?
Die Einnahmen fließen komplett in das Projekt. Alle Ausgaben im Vorfeld werden von unserem Team getragen.
Kann man auch einfach so spenden?
Ja, du kannst bei StartNext auch einen freien Betrag wählen oder San Skate auf ihrer betterplace Seite unterstützen.
Wo kann man die Boards kaufen?
Du kannst die bemalten Boards vom 15.10.-15.11. auf StartNext kaufen.
Kann man die Boards auch auf der Ausstellung kaufen?
Ja. Einige Board werden dann vermutlich schon verkauft sein, aber alle anderen Boards sind auch vor Ort zu haben. Wir zahlen dann das Geld ein, nehmen das Board bei StartNext raus und du erhältst eine Quittung bis zum Ende der Ausstellung. Danach bekommst du wie alle anderen dein Brett zugeschickt oder kannst es abholen.
Wann erhalte ich mein Board?
Wir versenden alle Boards nach dem Ende der StartNext Kampagne. Da das eine Menge Arbeit ist, kann das bis zu 6 Wochen dauern. Wir sorgen aber dafür, dass alle Boards vor Weihnachten bei den Käufern sind.
Erhalte ich eine Spendenbescheinigung für meine Spende?
Ja, der Verein SuTra – der das Geld aus der StartNext Kampagne erhält – kann dir eine Spendenbescheinigung ausstellen. Die Spendenquittungen werden jährlich im Februar verschickt, dass heißt, du erhältst deine Quittung im Februar 2018.
Wann soll der Skatepark gebaut werden?
Zwischen Januar und März 2018. Der Bau wird circa 3-4 Wochen dauern. Der genaue Starttermin ist abhängig von den Flugpreisen und der Wetterlage vor Ort.
Kann ich mich als freiwilliger Helfer für das Projekt engagieren?
Ja, hier kannst dich als Volontär für San Skate bewerben.
Und natürlich kann jeder von euch helfen, indem er seinen Freunden von unserem Projekt erzählt.

The exhibition is organized by Knorke. The skateboard lessons are taught by Dominiño, together with the Tropical Skate School. Dominiño is the charity organisation of the SuTra association in the Dominican Republic. Boards without Borders supports skateboard projects around the world. In addition, there are many nice sponsors, helpers, and a lot of artists.
Why a skate park in the Dominican Republic and not in Germany?
It was just a good fit. All the players like Dominiño, the Tropical Skate School, Knorke, and Boards without Borders already knew each other through different projects.
Are the artists paid for their work?
No, all the artists are volunteers.
Can I also submit a painted board?
Not for Wheel2Wall, unfortunately. Kindly contact our friends of Boards without Borders for other activities.
What happens to the revenue?
The revenue is invested completely into the project. All advance expenses are carried by our team.
Is it possible to donate any other way?
Yes, you can also donate any amount you like at StartNext or support San Skate on their betterplace website.
Where can I buy the boards?
You can order the painted boards from 15.10.-15.11. on StartNext.
Can I also buy the boards at the show?
Yes. Some boards will probably already be sold by then, but all other boards will be available during the event. We’ll enter your payment, remove your board from StartNext, and give you a receipt until the end of the exhibition. After that, like for everyone else, your board will be sent to you or you can pick it up.
When will I receive my board?
We will ship all boards after the end of the StartNext campaign. Since this is a lot of work, it can take up to 6 weeks. We’ll make sure, however, that all boards arrive before Christmas.
Will I receive a donation receipt for my donation?
Yes, the SuTra club - which receives the money from the StartNext campaign - can issue you a donation certificate. The donation receipts are sent annually in February, meaning you’ll get your receipt in February 2018.
